How to Report or Block a User on Skip

At Skip, we are committed to creating a safe and respectful dating environment. If you come across a user who violates our Community Guidelines, engages in inappropriate behavior, or seems suspicious, you can report or block them directly from their profile.

When Should You Report or Block Someone?

You should consider reporting or blocking a user if they:

  • Have a fake profile or are impersonating someone.
  • Are under 18 years old.
  • Share inappropriate or explicit content.
  • Engage in abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior.
  • Pose a risk of in-person physical harm.
  • Participate in scams, fraud, or other suspicious activity.
  • Violate Skip’s Community Guidelines in any way.

How to Report a User on Skip

You can report a user directly from their profile using these steps:

  1. Go to the User’s Profile:
    • Open the profile of the person you want to report.
  2. Scroll Down to Find the Report Option:
    • At the bottom of their profile, you will see a Report button.
  3. Select a Reason for Reporting:
    • You will be presented with the following options:
      • This is a fake profile
      • This user is under 18 years old
      • This profile contains nudity
      • Abusive or threatening behavior
      • In-person physical harm
      • Other (option to provide additional details)
  4. Submit the Report:

After selecting the relevant reasons, tap the Report button to send your report to our Trust & Safety team for review.

How to Block a User on Skip

If you simply wish to prevent further interaction with a user, you can block them:

  1. Go to the User’s Profile:
    • Open the profile of the person you want to block.
  2. Scroll Down to Find the Block Option:
    • At the bottom of their profile, you will see a Block button.
  3. Tap Block
  4. Confirm Your Action

Once blocked, the user will no longer be able to see your profile or interact with you on Skip.

What Happens After You Report or Block Someone?

  • Reporting: Our Trust & Safety team will review the report and take appropriate action. While we cannot disclose specific actions taken, reports are taken seriously, and necessary steps will be implemented, including warnings, suspensions, or account removal if needed.
  • Blocking: When you block someone, they will no longer appear in your potential matches, and they won’t be able to message or interact with you.

If you feel unsafe or experience a serious threat, we encourage you to contact local authorities in addition to reporting the user on Skip.

Reporting an Impersonation or Fake Profile

If someone is impersonating you, please report the profile using the steps above. If you are the person being impersonated, reach out to our support team at info@skip.dating with proof of identity for a quicker resolution.
